EBCO closed the sale of three leases operated by Barta Enterprises. The leases are located in Cotton and Stephens County, OK and are named the Beaver Creek, Mary Hurst, and William Yates Sand Unit. Production averaged approximately 27 Barrels of Oil/Day.
The leases were marketed strictly through a private, negotiated sale and were not subject to competitive bidding. EBCO markets properties in this manner when it is working with a seller who wished to be discrete and a buyer who is willing to pay market value. “Though the sale was conducted by private sale, we knew we had a buyer that already operated wells that were in the vicinity of those of the seller,” stated Paul Smart, a partner in EBCO. “The wells are located well outside of the seller’s core area and he (the seller) wanted to see an expedited sale.”
All of the wells were located in Stephens County with the exception of one of the injection wells that was located just across the border in neighboring Cotton County.
The closing occurred at offices located in Oklahoma City.
